This week, we spoke to John Carlo from the Philippines about their experience as a Samsung Expert. Let’s hear what they had to say…

Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is John Carlo and I am from the Philippines. Aside from my work as a Samsung Expert here at Limitless, I am a part-time photographer and videographer. I also like graphic designing in my spare time. 

Away from work, my hobbies include playing musical instruments and writing poems. These poems often turn into songs. I am not the greatest singer, but I enjoy creating songs from my poems. I am also a big fan of coffee (it is often my best friend when I am writing!)

What brands do you work for?

I am an Expert for Samsung. The questions I typically answer are about Samsung technology issues, ranging from system issues, account issues, log-in issues and more. 

I love answering queries from customers. Aside from the fact that it is my job, I love to be able to bring solutions to customers’ issues. Not only does helping people bring me satisfaction, but it also helps me develop my technical skills and flexibility when it comes to troubleshooting and problem solving.

What do you like about being an Expert?

Being an Expert isn’t always the easiest. However, this simply makes me appreciate my role more as it is a privilege and a great opportunity to be able to do this kind of work.

It is also a mutually beneficial experience. My job isn’t all about just helping customers resolve their technical issues. They, in turn, help me to be more flexible and creative in my approach to tackling issues. 

It also gives me the opportunity to develop my whole personality - both as an employee and an individual.

When and how do you answer questions the most?

Usually I answer questions as soon as they pop up in my ‘tasks’ bar. When it comes to answering the query, I always begin by greeting the customer, and building a strong connection with them. 

After that, I will begin addressing their concerns and try to find an adequate solution. Once we have resolved all of the issues they may have, I always thank them for their time and ensure that they are satisfied with the service they have received.

How are you planning to spend your earnings?

Currently, I am using the money I earn being an Expert to save for either a motorcycle or a car. I want to be able to help my family, and myself, have hassle-free transportation whenever they need!
